These cupcake and cake pops from Bakerella are just too cute for words:
Bakerella is full of sweet pictures like these and other scrumptious baked goods. Check it out! I think I might try my hand at making some for the upcoming holiday weekend.

I finished reading Marie Antoinette yesterday and really enjoyed it. So now I'm on a history kick and instead of the typical summer chick lit fare, I'm adding more historical non-fiction and biographies to my reading list. Nerdy? Perhaps. But I can't help but love history.
Two new books that are peaking my interest:
Eiffel's Tower by Jill Jonnes
The First Tycoon by T.J. Stiles

Jessica at How About Orange made these woven drink coasters out of the pages of a magazine. So clever! I love seeing all the different ways a magazine can be recycled into something creative. (Remember this bowl?)

Everytime I visit etsy I seem to always end up at the Bombus shop. Maps, stamps, and decorative papers are given new life through decoupage and the outcome is strikingly beautiful. I especially like the envelopes made from an atlas.
Check out the rest of Bombus's creative wares here.

This weekend, I'm taking a break and leaving town...
Wouldn't it be amazing to have a little brick conservatory like this in your back yard? To be used as your own personal retreat? A way to take a break without having to go too far from home. I would make it into a crafting studio... with all those windows I'm sure the natural light is glorious.

I forgot to post these yesterday (on Tuesday), so here they are now (on Wednesday). I found them on PiperLime and I think they are perfect for dressing up a casual summer outfit. I'm usually not a fan of white shoes, but I like the pop of coral on these.

I love these hand-embroidered pillows from Cat Studio featuring different geographical locations. The collection features different states, regions, cities, parks and countries--each one with a unique design!
There are also glasses, dish towels, aprons, totes and trays that feature the colorful art. Fabulous!
